Fucking Watford Part 2 (Bradford City F.A. Cup Run Ends)
- Updated: January 7, 2012
As if it was not bad enough to cope with the let down of drawing Watford in the 3rd Round of the F.A. Cup, they had to hammer us didn’t they! Well sort of anyway. The game started well enough, well sort of again. We were 1-0 down after only three minutes, but James Hanson got us on level terms until just before half time and the less said about the match from there until the dying minutes the better.
We are out of the F.A. Cup who cares. We were not going to win it anyway and chances are we would have drawn a team equally as boring and difficult to beat. With the exception of a good noisy following of Bradford City supporters and that Wells got on the score sheet again. It is hardly going to go down in Bradford City history. Sadly for City Ross Hannah did have a goal ruled out for offside not long after Wells pulled the score back to 4-2. Had the scoreline been 4-3 there might have been a glimmer of hope at the end and who knows, it might have been a match that left all of us who were underwhelmed with our reward for reaching the 3rd Round, eating our words. But, it wasn’t.
Remember though, being beaten 4-2, nearly, so nearly 4-3 by a club in the Championship is not as bad as all that. On to the league now.
